Rural Property in Portugal
Details of this Rural Property which until recently was used for Rural Tourism.
This Rural Property was registered as an Alojamento Local. The estate first served as a Bed and Breakfast and in the last couple of years as self-catering holiday homes.
This rural estate is the perfect location for a tourist accommodation at a higher level such as a Turismo em Espaço Rural, but there are a lot of other possibilities such as for example Multifamily Use or as a Training Centre. There is also the possibility to expand, especially when it will be used for tourism.
Main House and Studio
The main house on this Secluded Property was built in 2005 in a traditional way and has a large living room with fireplace that used to be the community room for the guests of the holiday homes. At the time the estate was used as a Bed and Breakfast this room served as a breakfast room.
There is a spacious kitchen, a sitting room, a bedroom, a bathroom, a hallway, an office and two toilets. There are several terraces. On the large terrace of the house there are spectacular views over the valley and the hilly landscape.
In the sitting room there is a fireplace with heat exchanger connected with the central heating system.
Attached to the main house is a studio. It has a sitting room annex bedroom with kitchenette and a bathroom.

On the estate used to be the ruin of Monte do Vale de Porcos de Baixo which has been restored in 2004 and is converted into two apartments. Both houses contain a Livingroom with kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom.
In Portugal farms are normally called “Herdade” or “Quinta”. The last name mostly is used for wine farms. But in the Alentejo the most common name is Monte. The name is used for the whole area of the farm or for the farmhouse itself.
In one of the houses the roof inside is finished with traditional cana (a type of bamboo).

Places for Safari Tent
On the estate there are two buildings with a small bathroom and an outdoor kitchen, these buildings will be perfect for placing a Safari Tent. These buildings are in need of updating.
Glamping, staying in luxury tents is becoming very popular in Portugal.
The swimming pool is filled with natural spring water and measures 11,00 x 4,20 meter. The maximum depth is 1,80 meter.
