The Main House and the Monte are built-in Taipa. The thick walls of loam ensure an ideal indoor climate all year round. In summer it remains cool and in winter there are no moisture problems. The walls of the bathrooms in the Main House are finished with Cimento Afagado the Portuguese version of Tadelakt. Most of the floors are covered with Portuguese clay tiles while some others are made with Cimento Afagado.
